One-day refresher course (8 hrs) Contact us for pricing (Officers attending this course must have previously completed initial active shooter training either during their police academy instructions or in-service training.)
This one-day course is designed for the SRO responsible for student and staff safety, addressing active shooter scenarios in schools. The course itinerary comprises one half day of comprehensive classroom instruction followed by dedicated dynamic activities which include moving formations, room entries, room clearing, solo and multiple officer responses. The training also incorporates several real-time scenarios featuring sensory overload distractions to enhance the participants’ preparedness and adaptability.
Note: While this course aligns with our other rapid deployment programs for law enforcement, as a SRO designated for school duty, it emphasizes unique considerations. These include specialized storage and positioning of advanced equipment, accessibility to mass casualty resources, prolonged solo officer response scenarios, and handling situations involving multiple shooters.
Given the unique and critical nature of your role, it is imperative that you receive heightened training in responding to active shooter situations. As a School Resource Officer, you are likely to be the first line of defense when confronted with such a threat. We are committed to providing you with the necessary tools and expertise through comprehensive active shooter training, recognizing the pivotal role you play in safeguarding the well-being of those under your care.
We provide flexibility in training locations. Our team of instructors can conduct training at your agency, local school or business accommodating each officer over a period of time. Alternatively, you can opt to attend one of our classes at our available facility, based on our scheduled training dates throughout the year.
