Peer Support Podcast

We’re a law enforcement family, and Chris’ journey began in 1996. Early on, Matthew (son of Chris) expressed a desire for a career in public safety. As an adult, he became a police officer in the same agency where Chris worked, a source of immense pride for any father.

With both a husband and son in law enforcement, Chris’ wife, Judy, faced double the stress, worrying about their well-being. Similarly, Chris’ daughter, Nicole, faced the challenge of having a father and brother in law enforcement, attracting stress from less sympathetic external sources, heightening her concerns. Additionally, Matthew’s wife, unfamiliar with the life of an officer, quickly discovered its challenges and the accompanying stress.

As Nicole progressed in life, she married a police officer, compounding our collective worry.

Daily conversations between Chris and Matthew provided solace. Recognizing the mental health benefits of these talks, we had an idea—to create Realtalk Leo, a podcast delving into the life of an officer and their family.
